Sansom's artwork is an exploration of nature, storytelling, craft and design.  Expressing a range of themes with drawing, printmaking and painting.

After studying Art and Design at TAFE Geelong (1993), Sansom lived in country Victoria where he was involved with Community theater, music and art making.

He also worked on set and costume design for dance theater and music - Wolfgang theater company and Chandrabhanu dance company - Academy of Indian arts (assistant to Geoffrey Goldie. Melbourne. 2019-2000).

After 3 years living in the UK he returned to Australia (2004) to develop an art and design portfolio. Currently located in the Northern Rivers of NSW.

More recent works include sketching in paint local beaches, cliffs and hinterland. From these field studies, which are often finished works in themselves, he has made some  larger scale studio pieces.

This year sees the release of a body of print designs for silkscreen and lino-cut exploring a contemporary palette with minimalist approach to  line drawing along side of a collection of stilllife paintings.

Sansom has exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions, local and internationally,  and he has garnered a string of awards along the way.
