Sansom's artwork is expressed with images of nature, storytelling and design.
Encompassing landscapes, botanical and figurative, he constructs visions made beautiful by pigment and brush.
Matthew has worked in theatre production, costume, set design and music. Through drawing and painting he brings his experience and ideas to art making.
In recent years he has developed a portfolio of design for interiors, printing and fashion.
His current body of work is an exploration of Plein air painting, capturing the essence of land and beachscape in Alla Prima impressions. He has also embarked on a series of Still life paintings and drawings, which showcase his expressive design and colour style.
He has exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions and garnered awards along the way.
