Matthew's artwork expresses a range of themes with drawing, printmaking and painting.
His response to nature and light are drawn from plein air, botanical and figurative art making.
After studying Art and Design at TAFE Geelong (1993), he lived between country Victoria and Melbourne where he was involved with community theater, set and costume design for dance, pantomime and music (Wolfgang theater company and Chandrabhanu dance company - Academy of Indian arts (assistant to Geoffrey Goldie. 1998-2000)).
After 4 years living in the UK and Europe he returned to Australia (2004) to further his creative portfolio.
Currently located in the Northern Rivers of NSW, working from his studio, on location around the shire and further afield.
Matthew's art can be viewed at his showroom - Galleon Bangalow - where he curates both retrospective and new works.
Grew up in Geelong.
Currently lives in Byron Bay.
