I regard each painting as a map, a sensory cartography of place. The terrain is physical, emotional, and temporal.
The shadow cast across the hillside, the scent of wet foliage, the rhythm of birdsong, and distant waves crashing. Layers built into the paint on a surface become recordings of experience, of time in communion with nature.
Painting is an act of love, seeing, feeling, a wordless dialogue between my senses and the natural world.
